Kent's Tin Soldiers already have one successful album in the bag and are now poised to take things to the next level.
2010's Telling Tales picked up praise from the likes of Q Magazine, Kerrang! and Rock Sound and packed in enough singles to cultivate a near constant stream of airplay for their music videos on MTV, Scuzz, The Box and Kerrang! TV with Xfm, Kerrang, Q and Absolute radio all rallying to support singles that were crafted in partnership with the world renowned production talents of Greg Brimson (Supergrass, Metallica, Bush) & John Cornfield (Muse, Feeder, Radiohead).
Their sound remains solid. Full of melodic riffs, powerful choruses and driven by a powerhouse of a rhythm section which often sees them compared to bands like the Foo Fighters, Muse and Feeder. There's a timeless quality to it all; rock music with true populist credentials that has the staying power to transgress generations and retain its appeal. 2011 has already seen the band play at numerous events in the UK and abroad including showcases at the Merc store on Carnaby street and a live session at London's Kings Cross station with UBR and Absolute Radio. With more live shows to come and a fan base that's growing quicker than China's economy, this looks to be the year that Tin Soldiers will head out of the shadows and into the mainstream arena.
Now signed to My Major Company UK the band are working with investors to gather the resources required for their second album. The MMC label is a new model in the UK music industry which sees a community of fans and business people invest in talent that has the potential to make them a healthy return. Once they've raised the £100,000 costs for the album, My Major Company UK will then provide the support needed to reach out and promote the bands creation on an international scale.
